"Jeff ran well, he's where we hoped he'd be," said Esposito after the event. "We need two more people up there with him to compete in a meet like this. It was a high level field and I think we belong with these schools. We didn't demonstrate it today but we have five weeks until the conference championship. We've got a good foundation and we've got work to do."
The Big South Conference Championship, scheduled for Nov. 2, will take place at the VMI Invite site, while the Nov. 15 NCAA Southeast Regional will be held on the same course as the Panorama Farms Invite.

"It's been a tough training period," LaCoste said. "It's all about getting ready for the Big South Conference championship and then the Regional Championship."
Bonczar, who played alongside Morgan Andrews on the 2012 Division II champion Milford High School Spartans, is the highest scorer for the Hawks so far this fall with three goals.
Individually, LaCoste led the Panthers for the first time this season, running around 20th place for the entire 8K race before crossing the finish line 22nd in 24 minutes, 14.9 seconds.
Jenn Duggan, from Merrimack, was recently named Commonwealth Coast Conference Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending Sept. 21.

He followed that up with third (23:59.58) at Furman University Classic 8K on Sept. 21 at the Vista Links Golf Course in Buena Vista, Va., and 22nd at the PFI run on Sept. 28.
"I know with how well I'm running right now, and how good and healthy I feel, I can compete with the conference's elite runners," LaCoste said. "I feel the same about Regionals. I know I'm in the top tier of runners right now."
