Cronulla prop Andrew Fifita is disobeying the club's medical advice in what he believes is his best opportunity to recover from a knee injury in time for Friday's semi final against Manly.
With his knee firmly secured in a brace, Fifita was ordered to sit out Cronulla's training session on Tuesday but the 114 kilogram front rower would not listen. The 24 year old believes the club's decision to spare him from training duties last week because of a calf injury only hampered his recovery and prohibited him from getting out of first gear against the Cowboys.
