Each year we recognize some of the great season opening performances and in the spirit of Karl "Tuffy" Rhodes, we honor those players who might have just seen their best days of the year.
The beginning of a new season gives fantasy owners a jolt of adrenaline especially when their players are filling up the box scores and their teams are dominating the league standings.

In recent years, impressive opening performances from the likes of Aaron Miles, Tony Pena Jr., Jason Kendall, Emilio Bonifacio, Edgar Renteria and Jack Hannahan yielded similar results.

Despite some fantastically pitched games on opening day, several star pitchers have struggled in the early going.

Some of that might be due to solid drafting. Some of it might be due to good timing. And then some of it might be due to dumb luck.
But then there was last season.
